Level:
A monster's level is basically the same as the character's level. It factors into damage calculation, and also determines if the monster will be affected by certain spells (such as L.5 Doom).

HP:
As with characters, a monster's HP is how much damage it can take, when it reaches 0 it dies.

MP:

XP is the number of experience points the characters receive after battle for defeating the monster.

GP:
GP is the number of GP the characters receive after battle for defeating the monster.

Battle Power:

Hit Rate:
Hit Rate determines how well the monster hits when using the ordinary fight command, other skills have their own Hit Rate that is used instead. Check chance to hit calculations for more info.

Defense:
Defense determines how much damage the monster receives from physical attacks. Check damage calculation to see the effect that Defense has.

Evade:
Evade determines how hard it is to hit the monster with physical attacks, or at least it's supposed to. Due to a bug, it has no effect at all.

Magic Power:

Vigor:
Vigor determines how much damage the monster does with physical attacks. Check damage calculation to see exactly how Vigor factors into damage done. Unlike other stats, each monster does not have a fixed Vigor value, instead Vigor is randomly determined for each monster at the start of combat. A monster's Vigor is a random number between 58 and 65 (inclusive).

Stamina:
Stamina increases the monsters chance of blocking most instant death attacks. (see the chance to hit calculations for exact details.

Stolen Items:
Every monster has 2 items that can be stolen from it, a common item and a rare item. When you attempt to steal from the monster, you may get one of the items. See the Steal command for exact details on the odds of stealing. Check the Monsters page to see which items each monster has.

Dropped Items:
Each monster has 2 items they can drop, a common item, and a rare item. At the end of combat, the game checks each monster to see which item it will drop. Each monster has a 1 in 8 chance of dopping their rare item, otherwise they drop their common item. If the monster doesn't have an item in that slot then it doesn't drop anything. Check the Monsters page to see which items each monster has.

Morphed Items:
Each monster has 4 items that it can be morphed into with the Metamorphability. Each item has a 1 in 4 chance of being the item that the monster is morphed into. Check the Monsters page to see which items each monster can be morphed into, as well as the odds of succesfully morphing the monster.
