Immune to pincer attacks While equipped with a relic with ability you will never randomly run into monsters in a pincer formation (with your characters in the middle and monsters on both sides). However, some monster formation are always pincer attacks and they will still be pincer attacks even with this relic equipped.
Makes Jump hit multiple times While equipped with a relic with this ability, you hit multiple times when using the Jump command. When you land from a jump, you do extra attacks as follows: 75% chance for 2 attacks 18.75% chance for 3 attacks 6.25% chance for 4 attacks
Raises Steal rate While equipped with a relic with this ability, you chance to succesfully steal from an enemy is increased. See the Steal command for exact details.
Causes attack to ignore MBlock While equipped with a relic with ability, your normal attacks always hits (unless the target has Clear status). See Step 3 in the hit determination algorithms.
Allows you to attack 4 times This relic allows you to attack 4 times, each attack is against a random target. For each attack damage = damage / 2 (see step 1ein damage calculation algorithms). Disables critical hits (even automatic criticals from weapons like Rune Edge) Makes all attacks unblockable (see step 3 in hit determination) Disables magic from randomly being cast when the weapon hits (see weapon randomly casts spell ability)
Randomly counterattacks If a character is equipped with a relic with this ability, they may counter physical attacks that hit them. You can only counter attack against physical attacks made by enemies, not by your own characters. If you have any of the following status effects, you can't counter either: Wound, Petrify, M-Tek, Zombie,Sleep, Muddle, Stop, Dance, or Freeze. If those conditions are met, you have a 1 in 4 chance of countering the attack.
Randomly evade a physical attack While equipped with a relic with this ability, the attacker's Hit Rate is cut in half when attacking with a physical attack. At least it's supposed to, due to a bug, this ability has no effect at all.
Allows you to wield a weapon in 2 hands A relic with this ability will allow you to wield a weapon in both hand for more damage. See Step 1c in damage calculation algorithms for exact details. Check the Weapons page for which weapon can be held in both hands.
Allows you to equip a weapon in both hands This ability allows you to attack with a weapon in both hands. If you only have one weapon equipped, or no weapons at all, the attack does only 75% of normal damage, it does full damage if you have 2 weapons equipped.
Allows you to equip almost all weapons and armor This ability allows you to equip almost any armor, weapon, shield, or helm. You can check the weapons and armor pages to see which equipment can't be equipped with the Merit Award.
Protects allies who are weak While equipped with this relic, you automatically take damage fro weak allies. If any ally has Near Fatal status and gets hit with a physical attack, a character equipped with this relic will block the attack and take the damage instead.
Makes you undead While equipped with a relic with this ability, you are considered to be undead. You get hurt from healing spells, and healed by spells that normally heal undead, including draining type attacks. You are also fully revived to max HP from the Doom spell.
Encounter fewer random monsters If the lead character in your party is equipped with a relic with this ability, you will encounter 25% less random encounters in areas where random encounters take place. See the Random encounters section for more info.
Encounter no random monsters If Mog is equipped with this relic, then you won't encounter any random encounters. See the Random encounters section for more info.
Increases Fight damage If a character is equipped with a relic with this ability, then they do 25% more damage with physical attacks. See step 2 of damage calculation for more info. This ability is not cumulative and if a character is equipped with 2 relics with this ability, it stills only adds 25% damage.
Increases Magic damage If a character is equipped with a relic with this ability, then they do 25% more damage with magical attacks. See step 2 of damage calculation for more info. This ability is cumulative and if a character is equipped with 2 relics with this ability, it adds 50% damage.
Slowly regain HP as you walk. If a character is equipped with a relic with this ability, then they regain HP with every step they take. They amount of HP gained per step is Stamina / 4 Base stamina, not modified by equipment, is used to determine how much HP is gained. |
